Listed sizes are standard stock. Other diameters, lengths and breaking strengths are made to order.
The grip is fitted over the cable end for pulling. Under tension the weave closes onto the jacket and clamps it along its whole length, so the pull is spread over the grip rather than concentrated at one point or at the cable termination.
The load-bearing layer is woven LCP fibre under a TPU jacket. LCP has high specific strength and low elongation, so stretch stays small within the rated breaking strength; the TPU jacket resists abrasion and cutting when the grip is pulled through concrete ducts, over tray edges or through rough openings.
Because the mesh is continuous, tension is carried over the full length and the grip holds on smooth and non-metallic jackets as well as on standard sheaths. The materials are non-conductive and corrosion resistant, so the grip can be used near live equipment and outdoors.
Either end can be supplied with a single or double eye for shackles, swivels and winch lines. Standard sizes cover 3–23 mm cable outside diameter at 300–800 kg breaking strength; larger diameters, longer grips and higher breaking strengths are built to drawing.
