LSZH stands for low smoke zero halogen, a halogen-free flame-retardant cable jacket material. Unlike PVC cables and cables made from other compounds, which release dense black smoke, toxic fumes and acidic gases in a fire, LSZH cable produces very low levels of smoke and toxic fume and no acidic gas.

The steel wire braid armour provides an explosion-protective function and protects the cable from environmental damage.
