High-watertight, torque-balanced multi-core hybrid cables are supplied for ships, offshore oil platforms and deep-sea resource exploration, and for underwater vehicles that carry both data and power, whether in fixed systems or in mobile systems where the vehicle is towed through the water above the seabed.

A water-blocking cable is an abrasion-resistant cable suitable for a range of outdoor environments. It is used for power supply between outdoor and indoor areas, and between underwater and land installations.

The cable is made from quality materials and is designed for use in extreme weather conditions. In an undisturbed installation its expected service life is long; where a cable has to be replaced, this is usually due to physical damage rather than wear.

The outer sheath is made of highly abrasion-resistant PU (polyurethane) and surrounds the individual conductor insulations. This construction makes the cable very robust and protects the copper from wear.
