Product overview

PAIDE develops high-quality pipeline robot cables (also called pipeline inspection cables and sewer inspection cables) that provide traction, lighting, control, television video, signal transmission and power to sewer cameras and pipeline crawler robots.

Design requirements:

Ø Flexibility: the cable contracts, extends and is dragged forward with the movement commands of the pipeline crawler robot. The cable of a pipeline CCTV inspection robot therefore needs good flexibility to avoid broken cores.

Ø Abrasion resistance: the cable is pulled forward by the crawler robot and comes into direct contact with the ground and the pipe wall, so good abrasion resistance is required

Ø Tensile strength: the design must also take account of external forces such as reeling, unreeling and dragging of the cable and the scouring force of water. Tensile strength is therefore also a basic design requirement for this cable type.

Ø Environmental adaptability: the cable is used in different pipeline environments such as municipal drainage pipes, chemical plant drainage pipes and oil pipelines, where resistance to water, oil and acid, alkali and salt spray corrosion is demanding. Good environmental adaptability is therefore also an important design requirement for pipeline robot cables.
