Features: oil resistance, flame retardance, hydrolysis resistance, resistance to bacteria and UV.
This 8-core floating cable is an ROV tether. It is neutrally buoyant, has a breaking strength of 200 kg, and incorporates water-blocking fibers to seal any leak. The core contains Kevlar yarns for strength and polyester yarns as space fillers. Both fiber types are impregnated with a water-blocking compound, so that a nick or crack in the cable does not lead to leakage.
The high-visibility yellow polyurethane foam sheath resists abrasion and provides neutral buoyancy. The cable stiffness is designed to be flexible enough to give the ROV adequate freedom of movement, yet stiff enough that it does not twist easily.
