Zero-Buoyancy Cables · Marine & Subsea

PDK81601
Neutrally buoyant ROV cable with two 24AWG pairs plus one 24AWG core, overall shield, 50kg tensile strength and a single foamed TPU jacket.
Product introduction
This neutrally buoyant cable is built for demanding underwater and dynamic applications and combines durability, flexibility and signal integrity. Its construction is intended to deliver reliable performance in marine environments, on ROVs, on subsea sensors and in other underwater applications.
Technical specifications:
Conductor: 2 pairs (2×2) of stranded 24AWG copper plus 1 separate 24AWG conductor.
Insulation: PE (polyethylene).
Shield: aluminium foil plus braid, overall shield, for the greatest possible interference protection.
Jacket: foamed TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane), single layer, UV- and oil-resistant.
Tensile strength: 50 kg (110 lb).
Operating temperature: -40 °C to +80 °C (-40 °F to +176 °F).
Voltage rating: 300 V.
Optional accessories:
Connectors: customised to industry standards or specific customer requirements.
Terminations: pre-fitted crimp or solder terminals for fast installation.
Custom lengths: available in bulk or pre-cut lengths.
Key features:
Neutrally buoyant design: optimised to minimise sinking in water, which reduces drag and simplifies deployment.
Enhanced shielding: an integrated overall shield prevents EMI/RFI interference and keeps signal transmission stable.
High tensile strength: the reinforced construction withstands a 50 kg tensile load, which suits harsh or high-stress conditions. Other requirements can also be met.
Light and durable: the single-layer foamed TPU jacket provides abrasion resistance, flexibility and reduced weight while maintaining durability.
Customisable connections: optional terminals and connectors allow seamless integration.
Applications:
Subsea vehicles (ROV/AUV).
Underwater sensor arrays and data acquisition systems.
Marine research and exploration equipment.
Hydrographic survey systems.
Diving and underwater communication systems.
